What a surprise, such wonderful food from what is basically an superior Cafe in beautiful Bicheno.

The pizzas are uninspired and bland, the prawn pasta had a total of five prawns in it. The prices are that of a high quality restaurant in any capital city.

Note again that it does get busy, I suspect because it's one of two or three places you can actually sit down for hot meal.

Just had dinner here. As we were entering a customer rushed out forcing my husband aside and causing him to cut his shin on a large planter in the doorway. When we told staff she laughed it off and said some people are rude! We ordered the seafood chowder as a main. It was bland and overpriced. There were 2 prawns, 2 mussels, 2 pieces of fish and some clams in a creamy sauce with lots of frozen vegetables. The wines are also overpriced. We had a wonderful seafood platter the night before at Sealife Restaurant up the road with spectacular ocean views. Give Pasinis a miss .

The reservation was made yesterday and well worth it. Very busy even during the off-season. Laid back and very helpful staff. Even happy to alter a wood fired pizza for us. Venison shoulder cooked to perfection. Nice decor.

We went there as it was almost the the only open place in town. The welcome was already not as friendly as we are used to it in Australia. We were thinking of trying a good wine from Tasmania and orderd one bottle for 42 A$ (at check out 44 A$). Unfortunately the bottle we got was very warm and when I asked for ice cubes they didn't have them so we drank a way to warm bottle of wine.

In a barely one-horse town, these guys make the most of the limited dinner opportunities available to visitors.

Note that if you arrive without having followed the no less than five signs at the entrance saying bookings are strongly recommend (not visible anywhere online or while driving past), you will receive a glare and be directed to whatever table is available, or be given the option of take-away.

Surprisingly low prices. They have a nice outdoor dining area.

The little town has really not many dinner places but we would def not go there again.

The best I can say is that the food was at least fresh, served hot, and service was quick.

The BBQ Pork pizza was fairly nice, but expensive for the size you got. The service was quick, I received my meal within about 10 minutes of ordering jy. The staff weren’t rude but were not overly chatty.

They wanted to throw away the rest of the pizza and I had to wait for the new one while my friend was almost done with eating. Very unprofessional and unethical throwing away food! I cannot even believe their behavior after that. It was not even 9 pm (closing time) and they started to talk about us behind the counter and we really felt we have to leave the place immediately. Really sad as we wanted to order desert and we were still talking to other guests.

Despite that we ordered food (which was actually the price not worth it) but I received the wrong pizza. For me not a problem at all but I told the waitress that I am going to pay only the price for the pizza I actually ordered. I ate almost half of the pizza when the waitress came and assumed me of ordering the wrong pizza and now the chef wants to bake the actual ordered pizza or otherwise I have to pay the one on my plate (which was quite more expensive).

I have been to this town on quite a few occasions and this is by far the best in the area. Just remember book ahead.
