  Luckily we met one of the workers at a bar and he booked us in there last minute. The apt we had was amazing, lovely comfortable big bed, all amenities we needed and very clean. We woke up to the amazing surroundings of the sea, couldn't get a better location place to stay and chilled out in their amazing dining area with a view and a coffee.

  Also, advertised as penguin show but this is misleading. You can stand in a paddock and hope they walk past.

  Diamond Island Resort was incredible. My friend and I were travelling Tasmania on the cuff and hadn't pre-booked anything. Which we realised too late was a bit of a problem as most places close early there!

  Cabins all appear the same and part of same building, however sold as beach view, beach Villas, ocean huts, etc. Grounds need a fair bit of work, does not look like the photos. Friendly service and the bed was comfortable. Rooms need a refresh.

  The resort is fine. Although you may able to see the penguins in the resort area, you should join the local penguin tour, it is much more interesting.
